Disney is celebrating the 10 year anniversary of Sofia the First with some exciting news!
The Disney Junior animated series, which starred Ariel Winter as the voice of Sofia, premiered exactly 10 years ago to the day, on November 18, 2012.
TV movie Sofia the First: Once Upon a Princess started it all, from Craig Gerber, who has extended his overall development deal with Disney Branded Television.
As part of his deal, he’s developing a Sofia the First spinoff series!

The upcoming spinoff series in the works will be set in Royal Prep Academy, a school for princes and princesses in the fictional kingdom of Enchancia.

If you didn’t know, Craig is also behind the latest series Firebuds, which premiered in September.
Sofia the First: Once Upon a Princess will be airing on Disney Junior all weekend long, from November 18-20!
