Frankie Grande is arguably his little sister Ariana Grande‘s biggest fan, so it’s no surprise he was one of the first people to know she was cast in the movie adaptation of Broadway’s Wicked!
In fact, the Danger Force actor was with her every step of the way through the audition process!
Frankie recently opened up and revealed what it was like when she told him that she had booked the iconic role of Glinda.
Find out what he said inside…
“She worked very, very, very, very, very hard on the audition process and she would let me in afterwards and tell me how each one of them went,” he told E! News. “I remember when she told me that she booked it, we just both burst into tears together. Because it was something that she had been dreaming of her entire life.”
He also shared that they help her each other with auditions and give each other feedback, but one piece of advice she’s given him has stuck: “Just make strong choices.”
“It really helped me,” Frankie dished. “I was obsessed with figuring out what the director wanted. I learned that if you just make a very strong choice, it doesn’t have to be the right choice.”
The sibling duo are of course big theater kids and have both been on Broadway themselves.
Frankie has appeared in both Rock of Ages and Mamma Mia! on the Great White Way, as well as off-Broadway more recently in Titanique The Musical. Ariana, on the other hand, kicked off her career in the musical 13, alongside Victorious co-star Elizabeth Gillies.
In case you missed it, it was recently announced that the release date for the first Wicked movie has been moved up!
