WARNING: THIS POST MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR GOOD TROUBLE SEASON 5!
Cierra Ramirez is opening up about all that Mariana is going through in Good Trouble season five.
The 28-year-old actress’ character has been going through a lot this season, following the cliffhanger season four finale, and in a recent interview, she dished on filming it and what’s coming up in the second half of the season.
Find out what she said inside…
“Oh, my God, if you think this half of this season [was] emotional, just wait! That’s all I have to say. Yeah, I agree. It was the most shocking season finale last season for me, and then to pick right up and [see] how all of that, what happened at the farm, how everything went down, it was crazy. But what a ride for Mariana this season!” Cierra told TV Line. “This poor girl, she can’t catch a break. It’s been a wild ride. I love hearing from the fans, seeing how they react to each episode. It’s been really gratifying to play and emotionally challenging this season. So it’s one of my favorites.”
Cierra also talked about how filming all of the super emotional scenes as Mariana affects her personally.
“You know, it’s funny because I feel like after playing Mariana for 10 years, she is a part of me, and when she hurts, I hurt,” she said. “Crying all day on set, I have to say, is therapeutic in itself, as weird as that sounds. There’s something about being in a room with a bunch of people you trust, that are all passionate about the vision that we’re putting out into the world, and just crying and just kind of melting. It’s really, really therapeutic. I always walk away feeling a breath of relief — although I do feel really horrible for Miss Mariana.”

After having to pause filming in early May for a day, due to the writer’s strike, filming on Good Trouble‘s second half of season five is currently underway and is set to wrap up this month.
