The long-awaited, many years in the making Wicked movie adaptation is finally well underway!
Jon M Chu is directing the two-part film adaptation of the mega popular Broadway musical, with Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo playing the leads Glinda and Elphaba.
When it was announced that the movie was going to be split into two parts, they were given Christmas 2024 and Christmas 2025 release dates, but both of those have now been changed.

It was previously revealed that Part One was getting moved up a month to November 2024, and now Part Two is also getting moved up a month.
Wicked: Part Two is now set to be released on November 26, 2025.
Also in the cast are Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard, Marissa Bode as Nessarose, Ethan Slater as Boq, plus Keala Settle, Bowen Yang and more.
There is approximately only about a month left of filming, as back in mid-April, Jon revealed there were 70 days left of shooting. This does not account for the potential of re-shoots.
