We are getting a closer look at the main trio in the upcoming Percy Jackson and the Olympians television series!
The new adaptation of the popular book series by Rick Riordan will follow along more accurately to the books, as Rick himself has had a big say in the show as a writer and executive producer.
Coming to Disney+, the new character posters were unveiled during San Diego Comic-Con weekend, showing off Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase and Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood.

Rick apologized to fans recently for being unable to make it to Comic-Con due to the actors and writers strikes.
“Sorry the actors and I can’t be there. So much more we could have shared, but until the strikes are resolved, that can’t happen. Studios: pay your writers and actors! In the meantime, enjoy the SDCC swag. As Austin Powers would say, ‘That’s my bag, baby!’” he wrote on Threads.
The author also shared on update that post-production work is still happening on the show as they prepare for it’s release. Filming wrapped earlier this year.
“Reviewing some of the special effects for the PJO show, because thankfully that aspect of our post production work is not affected by the ongoing strikes. Only a few finished clips so far but they look fantastic. Our three main actors in action … with all the finishing touches … perfect,” Rick shared. “Becky and I are very happy. No news on a trailer. That’s probably still quite a ways off. In the meantime, sure would help if the studios would come back to the negotiating table and resolve these strikes!”
Rick previously noted that fans may not see the show until 2024, and recently it’s been said it may not premiere until 2025.
