Charlie Jean Boltares is making her film debut in the upcoming movie Halloween Store!
The young actress actually caught the attention of co-star Anthony Michael Hall from a video she made with friends and shared online, which led to her landing a role in the camp horror comedy.

“It’s so nice to be working with Charlie on Halloween Store… Funny thing is, last year I was surfing on Instagram last and came across a project that she did with her friends back home in Rhode Island. It was a fun ‘Weird Science’ tribute video, that Charlie made with her friends,” Anthony shared in a statement with Just Jared Jr exclusively.
“I really liked it and so I reposted it. [Producer] Johnny Ryan Jr. saw our exchange on IG and got in contact with me. That introduction led to us becoming friends, and that led to us all making Halloween Store in Hawaii earlier this year,” the actor continued. “We had a lot of fun on the shoot in Waikiki with our fantastic cast and crew. It was great experience, I loved it.”
Halloween Store “follows a group of people who find themselves trapped inside a costume store on Halloween night with a mysterious killer on the loose,” according to Deadline.
Also starring in the film are Thomas Dekker, Nicholas Hamilton, Simon Rex, Natalie Lind, Kai Caster, Lindy Booth, Sydney Park, Grace Van Dien, Jorge Lendeborg Jr. and Drew Ray Tanner.
Filming wrapped in March in Hawaii, and Natalie also shared with us what it was like working with Charlie, who she has actually known for quite some time!
“I’ve known Charlie since she was 4 years old. From the beginning, I knew she was going to be a star. It’s very inspirational to see a young woman take her career in her own hands and make these creative, dynamic projects ALL on her own,” Natalie told JJJ. “Starting a TikTok at 4 years old for funny content, and production company at 9 years old is unheard of. She put me starting my production company at 24 to shame. When Halloween Store came to fruition, I knew I wanted her to be a part of my first project I was producing, and she KILLED it.”
Halloween Store was written by Chad Law, Josh Ridgway and director Shane Dax Taylor.
In addition to Natalie serving as a producer, SNL star Kenan Thompson is also producing through his Artists for Artists banner with John Ryan Jr, as well as Natalie‘s dad John Lind, Shane Dax Taylor, Steven Schneider, Bradley Sloan, Kenneth Burke and Andrey Romanyuk.
