
“I’m having a proper, full-on gay crisis” because Heartstopper is officially coming to an end!
Netflix just announced that the fan-favorite series, based on the graphic novels by Alice Oseman, will be concluding with a final movie, and not a fourth season.
The news was announced on Tuesday (April 22), the third anniversary of the first season’s premiere!

“I am completely overjoyed that we will get to tell the end of the Heartstopper story,” Alice shared in a statement. “I’m so grateful to everyone who has worked hard to make this possible and to the incredible fans of Heartstopper for your patience and passion. I cannot wait to bring this story to a magical conclusion.”
Joe Locke and Kit Connor are confirmed to reprise their roles, with more to be announced at a later date. They will also serve as executive producers!
In the upcoming Heartstopper movie, Nick and Charlie are inseparable, but with Nick preparing to leave for university and Charlie finding new independence at school, the reality of a long-distance relationship begins to weigh on them. The movie will be based off of the sixth volume of the graphic novels, which has not been released yet, and production will kick off this summer!
