We just got some very exciting news for the upcoming fifth Descendants movie!
Disney just unveiled that the official title will be Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, and it is set to premiere on Disney Channel and Disney+ in 2026.
Filming is currently underway.
In addition – it was also announced that Brandy, Rita Ora, Paolo Montalban and Melanie Paxson will all be reprising their roles as well!

Brandy returns as Cinderella, Rita as Queen of Hearts, Paolo as King Charming and Melanie as Fair Godmother. They join previously announced returning cast Kylie Cantrall as Queen of Hearts’ daughter Red, Malia Baker as Cinderella’s daughter Chloe and Leonardo Nam as the Mad Hatter’s son Maddox.
This completes the casting for the upcoming movie musical.

Descendants: Wicked Wonderland picks up shortly after the events of Descendants: The Rise of Red, as the next chapter explores what “happily ever after” is really like for Red and Chloe, following their return from their time-traveling adventures. Set primarily in present-day Wonderland, the sequel delves into the warning at the end of the previous movie: “There are consequences when you alter the fabric of time.”
Kimmy Gatewood has been tapped to direct, with a script by by co-executive producer Tamara Chestna, Dan Frey and Ru Sommer.
After filming the upcoming movie, Kylie and Malia are set to head out on the Descendants/Zombies: Worlds Collide Tour this summer!
