Joshua Colley to Return to Broadway, Will Star In Hadestown!

Joshua Colley is the latest Disney star to hit the Great White Way!

The Descendants: The Rise of Red star was just announced on Wednesday (January 14) to be the next leading star of the musical Hadestown on Broadway.

Joshua will star as Orpheus starting March 3rd, following in the footsteps of fellow Disney alum Jordan Fisher, who commented on Instagram, “yesssssirrrr 😍🔥 give us that tone for days please @joshuarobertcolley”

Joshua‘s Descendants co-star Morgan Dudley is actually currently starring in the production as Eurydice, which she will depart after March 1st!

“Secrets out,” Joshua shared on Instagram story, along with a mind blown emoji.

The casting announcement post was flooded with congratulatory messages from his fellow Disney stars, including Descendants stars Kylie Cantrall, Sam Morelos and Ruby Rose Turner, plus Zombies‘ Milo Manheim, Chandler Kinney, Sway Bhatia, Julian Lerner and Terry Hu, HSMTMTS‘ Julia Lester, Camp Rock 3‘s Ava Jean and Liamani Segura, and more!

Joshua previously appeared on Broadway when he was a kid, making his debut in Newsies, and later appearing as Gavroche in Les Miserables, sharing the role with Stranger Things‘ Gaten Matarazzo.

Other Disney stars recently on Broadway and Off-Broadway include Meg Donnelly, who is currently starring in Moulin Rouge, Milo Manheim and Joshua Bassett in Little Shop of Horrors, and Ryan McCartan in The Great Gatsby, which he’s returning to soon.
