Joy Sunday is opening up about working with her co-stars on Netflix’s No 1 hit series Wednesday!
The actress stars in the show as Bianca Barclay, a siren student at Nevermore.
In a recent interview, she opened up about working alongside some big names like Gwendoline Christie, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Christina Ricci and Luis Guzman, as well as, of course, Tim Burton.
She also dished that being with one co-star on set was a little extra special because they share the same birthday!
Find out what who inside…
“Catherine was basically the first time I ever looked at someone and said, ‘I want her job,’” Joy told Popsugar. “It was rewinding to me as a 10-year-old, watching ‘Chicago’ on my family’s square desktop. And all I remember is just being so captivated by her. There was no screen that was too small for her.”
She then mentioned how meeting Zeta-Jones was “such a reaffirming experience” in the sense of knowing “she was my inspiration, and now I get to be with my inspiration.” She added, “And we have the same birthday and everything, so it was just really beautiful to get to be with her on set.”
Their birthdays both fall on September 25th!
Joy gushed about her other older co-stars as well.
“Christina was just so warm and so receptive,” she said. “And Gwendoline is just such a treat to have around and really just the kindest, warmest person. And Luis is also just hilarious. . . . It was such an honor to be able to work with them and to feel like they saw me as an equal, even though they have so much experience.”
This week, it was revealed that Wednesday‘s first season broke the Netflix record for the most-watched English-language TV series in a week, beating out Stranger Things season four!
