The first teaser trailer for Freeridge has arrived!
A spinoff of On My Block, the upcoming series will be focusing on a new core four group of friends, in you guessed it, Freeridge.
While there is a mostly new cast, Peggy Blow, who played Abuelita on OMB, will be returning in a new role, which was teased in the trailer.
Series co-creator and showrunner Lauren Iungerich also teased Peggy‘s new character and how it came to be.

“We love Peggy. She’s a total pro and utter joy to work with,” Lauren shared with Tudum. “The character that Peggy portrays in Freeridge was her own original idea that she threw out on a whim and we wholeheartedly embraced. It’s gonna be a surprising character to get to know, and we had the best time bringing her to life.”
Freeridge is described as “a coming-of-age comedy following sibling rivals Gloria and Ines and their friends Demi and Cameron who have unleashed a curse bringing dark misfortune into their lives.”
Starring in the show are Keyla Monterroso Mejia (Gloria), Bryana Salaz (Ines), Tenzing Norgay Trainor (Cam), Ciara Riley Wilson (Demi) and Peggy Blow, with Michael Solomon, Zaire Adams, J.R. Villarreal and Jean Paul San Pedro.
Paula Garcés (Geny Martinez), Eric Gutierrez (Ruben Martinez), Eme Ikwuakor (Dwayne Turner) and Raushanah Simmons (Fran Turner) will be back throughout to reprise their roles from On My Block.
Freeridge debuts on Netflix on February 2nd!
