A comic book writer is speaking out about criticisms of the latest Marvel series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law!
It’s been a couple months since the season one finale aired, and comic book writer Dan Slott is speaking to the accuracy of the TV series vs the comic book.
Find out what he said…
Dan has written several comics for Marvel throughout the years, most notably a ton of Spider-Man comics, and he actually launched a new She-Hulk series in 2004.
“Anyone saying the @SheHulkOfficial TV show wasn’t ‘comic book accurate’… I’m the guy who has written more issues of SHE-HULK than anyone,” he shared on Twitter. “I’ve read every single comic from every #SheHulk run. And I’m saying, for the record, it is the MOST comic book accurate show in the MCU.”
He continued, “‘That’s not the point. Nobody was arguing about that.’ Yes. They were. A lot.”
Dan also commented on someone saying the show vilified men.
“Pug, Wong, Luke, Bruce, Matt, Ched, Jen’s dad, an entire support group of men… There were way more supportive and good men in the show than creeps. The only characters that were vilified were the villains,” he replied.

"That's not the point. Nobody was arguing about that."
Yes. They were. A lot.

After posting this, literally got a post starting out:
"No one’s saying the show isn’t comic accurate pal…"
Love the goal post moving, cause the whole "the show isn't comic accurate" talking point has been going on for MONTHS. From people who clearly have never read SHE-HULK.

If I were writing She-Hulk in a day-and-age when *certain* fans were review bombing CAPTAIN MARVEL and MS. MARVEL with that clear cut agenda in mind? I would have absolutely considered that fair game.

Not really.
There were many positive male characters that viewers could associate themselves with:
Pug, Matt, Bruce, Luke, and Jen's dad, to name a few.— Dan Slott (@DanSlott) January 2, 2023
People upset over #SheHulk twerking for fun with a celebrity that *she* liked…
…somehow have NO problem with Tony Stark having a stripper pole in his private jet in IRON MAN 1– with women Tony Stark was paying to dance for *his* pleasure.
Spare me this newfound outrage. pic.twitter.com/JDowsRXY7C

People arguing the twerking scene in #SheHulk wouldn't have happened in the comics…
Byrne had She-Hulk jumping rope in a bikini.
I had her karaokeing, dancing, & partying so hard it was causing structural damage to Avengers Mansion.
This is the hill they want to die on? đŸ¤·

Which is probably why I also included the "jumping rope in her bikini" example.
I think between the two examples that's enough to say the scene could've happened in the comics and no one would've batted an eye.

Way too many people online don't understand the difference between:
"This was bad."
&
"This was a bad fit for me."
Not everything needs to be for you.
There are TONS of things for you.
And things that are JUST for you. It's ok for SOME things to be for people who aren't you.
