Can you believe it’s already been three whole years since Julie and the Phantoms premiered?!
The musical series, from executive producer Kenny Ortega, debuted on Netflix September 10, 2020 and the show’s passionate fandom, aka the Fantoms, still show it so much love each and every day on social media.
Newcomer Madison Reyes was cast in the leading role of Julie Molina, and she took to Twitter to briefly acknowledge the three year anniversary and to thank fans for their support over the past few years.

“I’m not sure if I can post about jatp since the strike but I think of her always thanks for all the love even after 3 years đŸ’œ,” Madison wrote, along with a photo of her in Julie’s final performance look.
Many fans responded by thanking her for portraying Julie and how much they miss the show.
Julie and the Phantoms was officially announced to be canceled after one season in December 2021, after many fans petitioned and pleaded with Netflix for a year, even buying billboards to show their love and how much they want it to continue!
Sadly, Kenny Ortega shared in March 2022 that there were no plans at the time for the show return.
Since then, the cast has gone to conventions, and at one con, they even met with the cast of the original Brazilian series Julie e os Fantasmas!
At the beginning of 2023, Kenny was seen vacationing in Rio de Janeiro with stars Charlie Gillespie and Owen Patrick Joyner after the Dream It Con in SĂ£o Paulo, which is where they met the original cast.
