Angourie Rice is opening up about the upcoming Mean Girls movie musical!
The 22-year-old Honor Society actress takes on the role of Cady Heron, made famous by Lindsay Lohan in the original movie, and originated by Erika Henningsen on Broadway.
During a recent roundtable with her co-stars, Angourie revealed one of the iconic lines from the movie that she was nervous to recite in the upcoming movie musical adaptation.

Bebe Wood, who plays Gretchen, posed the question, “Is there a moment or line that you were the most excited about recreating or saying or doing?”
“I was excited ’cause Cady gets to say, ‘It’s October 3rd,’ and I was really excited for it until getting in the room, and I was like, ‘This is so hard to say in an American accent. The double R of like, October 3rd,” Angourie, who is Australian, said.
“That’s hard. It’s hard for like the [makes er sounds]. I became really nervous, but we got through it and hopefully it’s fine,” she added.
Avantika, who plays Karen, said that Angourie would run her line by her co-stars in the American accent to make sure she was getting it right.
