Disney Channel is reviving one of it’s most popular series – Wizards of Waverly Place!
It was just revealed that the network has ordered a pilot for a reboot, and two stars are attached to return to reprise their roles.

Selena Gomez and David Henrie are set to return as siblings Alex and Justin Russo in the new series, and they took to social media to react to the news!
“So excited!!” Selena captioned one Instagram story. Adding with another, she said, “We’re back,” in all caps with a pic of her and David.
“The Russo’s are excited to become a part of your family, once again, but we’ve grown 😊 2024, the year magic comes back!” David captioned a photo of the pilot script.
The new show, according to Deadline, will “pick up after a mysterious incident at WizTech, where an adult Justin Russo has left his wizard powers behind, opting for a normal, human life with his wife and two sons. But he gets a surprise when a powerful young wizard in need of training shows up at his door… and Justin must embrace his past to ensure the future of the Wizard World.”
Selena will guest star in the pilot episode, while David will be a series regular. They will also both be executive producing.
Also joining the cast are Janice LeAnn Brown as young wizard Billie, whom Justin takes under his wing, as well as Alkaio Thiele as Justin’s oldest son and Mimi Gianopulos as his wife Giada.
Nearly a year ago, Wizards stars Jennifer Stone and David DeLuise answered fan questions about a reboot on their re-watch podcast, Wizards of Waverly Pod.
In August 2020, David Henrie shared some ideas of where he thought everyone would be if a reboot could take place.
