'Percy Jackson & The Olympians' Officially Renewed For Season 2 at Disney+!

It’s official – Percy Jackson & The Olympians will be back for a second season!

Disney+ revealed the excited news on Wednesday (February 7) during The Walt Disney Company’s quarterly earnings call, and following a highly successful first season, which recently wrapped on the streamer.

“Rich in magic, wonder, adventure and heart, ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ captivated the imaginations of viewers of all ages everywhere,” Ayo Davis, president, Disney Branded Television, shared in a statement. “We’re thrilled to embark on an exciting new quest and a season two with Rick Riordan, our fantastic partners at 20th Television, and the exceptional ensemble of cast and creative talent that bring this story to life.”

Rick added, “I can’t wait to bring the next season of Percy Jackson to Disney+! Raise anchors. Hoist the mainsail. All hands on deck, demigods. We’re heading for the Sea of Monsters!”

Season two will see Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri return as Percy, Annabeth and Grover, and it will follow their characters’ story from the second book, “The Sea of Monsters.”

This update may not come as a surprise to Percy Jackson fans who have been fully expecting the announcement to happen.

In fact, after wrapping filming on season one in February 2023, Rick hinted that they were fully expecting a second season. Later in the year, he revealed they had started to map out a second season!
