It was previously revealed that Siena Agudong has been cast in the female lead role of high school cheerleader Dallas Bryan, and Drew Ray Tanner will play the role of Nathan.

On Thursday (June 6), it was announced that James Van Der Beek, Deborah Cox and Jake Foy have all joined the cast!

James will play Leroy Lahey, according to Deadline, who is “the tough but well-meaning father to Drayton (Beck). Leroy sets high expectations for his son both on and off the football field, pushing him to strive for excellence while struggling to express his own grief and vulnerability.”

Deborah will portray Miss Alicia, who is “the owner of a small-town dance studio that has seen better days. She recognizes Dallas is a technically skilled dancer with the potential to be extraordinary. However, she worries that Dallas’ dancing lacks the soul and spontaneity necessary for acceptance into a prestigious dance school.”

Jake joins the cast as Mr. Justin Douglas, “an easy-going teacher who develops a romantic interest with Nathan (Tanner).”

Sidelined: The QB Bad Boy & Me centers on “Dallas Bryan (Agudong), a high school cheerleader impassioned by the art of dance who hopes to use it as a means of escaping her sleepy small town. Bryan has her sights on a coveted dance scholarship at CalArts, and nothing—or no one—is going to stand in her way. That is… until the star high school quarterback, Drayton Lahey (Beck), crashes into her life.”

As previously mentioned, the movie is currently filming and it is set to debut on Tubi later this year.
