The trailer for the upcoming Uglies movie adaptation is finally here!!!
It was first announced in 2020 that Joey King was to star in and executive produce the book-to-screen adaptation of the popular book by Scott Westerfeld.
Then in 2021, we got an update – Keith Powers, Chase Stokes and Brianne Tju joined the cast, and by the end of that year, filming had wrapped!
Now, the movie is set to debut on Netflix and they just released the trailer and first look images.

Here’s a synopsis: In a futuristic world that imposes a cosmetic surgery at 16, Tally is eager for her turn to join the rest of society. But when a friend runs away, Tally embarks on a journey to save her that upends everything she thought she wanted.
Jan Luis Castellanos, Charmin Lee and Laverne Cox also star, with McG serving as director.
Uglies will premiere September 13th on Netflix, marking Joey‘s second movie released this year on the streamer, following this summer’s A Family Affair.
In addition, a special paperback cover of the book will be released on September 17th with the movie’s poster as the cover. Plus, Brianne Tju will perform a new special edition audiobook!
