Dove Cameron and Sofia Carson are remembering their late friend Cameron Boyce.
The longtime friends and Descendants co-stars took to social media to pay tribute to the late actor on the six year anniversary of his death on Sunday (July 6).

“first photo ever of all 4 of us ♡ 6 years of missing you, 11 years of loving you . thinking of @libboyce @thevictorboyce @maya.elan today. heart heavy but full of love. see you again one day ♡,” Dove wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of her, Sofia, Cameron and Booboo Stewart.
Sofia also threw it back to the set of Descendants, sharing a photo of the group with the caption, “Our Angel. Forever.”
Booboo commented two eagle emojis under her post, and the next day, shared a stop motion video of Cameron.
“We were super into creating on our off days while filming and took this very seriously haha, a lot of tape, a lot fishing wire , many hours and many funny body positions,” he captioned his post.
Descendants director and choreographer Kenny Ortega also paid tribute to Cameron.
“Impossible to forget you Cameron. You own a piece of my heart. The memories of our times working together are some of my greatest treasures,” he said. “When you entered a room the light grew brighter because of your presence. Your laugh, imagination, talent, generosity, and loving heart were second to none. @thecameronboycefoundation Please join me in remembering our #foreverboy with a donation of any amount to the Cameron Boyce Foundation. Descendants star Sarah Jeffery commented, “beautifully said Kenny. Love you and love our forever boy 💜💜💜”
Later this month will also mark the 10-year anniversary since the first Descendants movie was released on Disney Channel.
A fifth movie wrapped filming earlier this year and some of the stars are going on tour this summer!
We have sadly lost a few more Disney Channel stars over the years.
