Kylie Cantrall is opening up about how her career might have looked different!
In a new interview, the 20-year-old Descendants star revealed how she was offered a deal at Nickelodeon around 11 years old, but she turned it down to hold out for Disney.

While talking about auditioning when she was younger, she shared that Nickelodeon came first!
“At first it had been Nickelodeon. They offered me a holding deal when I was like 11,” she revealed on the Zach Sang Show. “So, it basically meant I would sign a contract and just be with them for a couple years until they could figure out what to do with me.”
“I thought about it for a long time, and my team was really like, you know, they wanted me to do it,” she continued. “It’s a big opportunity, and obviously Nickelodeon’s huge, and for my age bracket at that time, it’s really Nickelodeon and Disney. I remember thinking about it long and hard, and I was like, I’m supposed to be with Disney, and I just felt it in my gut.”
“I’m such a true Disney girl and I just had seen it for me since I was little. So I told them, I was like, “No, we got to wait for Disney. I know it’s coming,’” Kylie said.
And she didn’t have to wait much longer, because “probably a few months after that,” she booked the lead role in her own Disney Channel series, Gabby Duran and the Unsittables!
Even prior to Gabby Duran, she appeared on Bizaardvark, Raven’s Home and Just Roll with It, and after, she has appeared in Doogie Kamealoha, MD and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series on Disney+, and a voice part in Spidey and His Amazing Friends on Disney Junior.
On the movie side, she had a voice role in Ron’s Gone Wrong, and leads the new Descendants movies as Red, with Descendants: Wicked Wonderland in the works.
Earlier this year, she filmed the movie and is about to go on tour with some of her castmates and fellow Disney stars on the Descendants/Zombies: Worlds Collide Tour!
