Mykal-Michelle Harris has shared a sad update on her Raven’s Home spinoff series, Alice in the Palace.

News of the spinoff was announced over a year ago when it was revealed Raven’s Home was ending after six seasons.

“Everyone has been asking soooo…I want to say thank you so very much to EVERY SINGLE PERSON (cast @imogen_cohen @connorcruzstoutactor @dlbaze_theactorofficial Mr @matherpzickel …Imogen where are all my pix of us??? and crew) who worked on my very own pilot that I not only played the titular character on… but also played opposite myself as another character (Alice and Clementine) AND was a PRODUCER on,” Mykal captioned a series of photos, which you can see below.

“It was for sure a dream come true to make #AliceInThePalace. Ultimately, #disneychannel decided to take the strategy in a different direction that did not include our show. #thatsTheBusiness,” she continued. “But I am so blessed to have accomplished this. To my new family that served as the lead cast…LOVE U FOREVER. To every member of the crew and production office… you were amazing !!! #kimraisingkim #soblessed #producer #disney #disneykid #love #disneychannel #pilot #love #GodIsGreat”

Alice in the Palace would have picked up “Alice (Harris), Raven’s young cousin, returns to England and reunites with Duchess Clementine (also Harris), a young royal who looks exactly like her. In the process, Clementine gets a taste of the fun side of ‘normal’ life, while Alice gets a taste of the finer side of ‘regal’ life.”

Raven-Symone directed the pilot and executive produced. Raven’s Home creators Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas wrote and executive produced the pilot.

While Alice in the Palace is not moving forward, Mykal-Michelle is not leaving Disney any time soon as Disney Junior’s Ariel, which she voices Ariel in, has been picked up for a second season!

In addition, Mykal-Michelle was recently announced to be cast in the upcoming Oswald The Lucky Rabbit animated/live-action hybrid series, alongside Ravi Cabot-Conyers and Ryder Allen, which will air on Disney+.

She will play Jen, an artistic middle schooler who is always ahead of the game,” according to Deadline.
