Meg Donnelly to Screen Test For Superhero Role In DCU, Plus 2 Other Actresses Revealed (Report)

Meg Donnelly has her eyes on a huge new role according to a new report!

The 23-year-old ZOMBIES star is apparently in the running to take the next step in the casting process to portray a DC Comics superhero in the new DCU, Deadline reveals.

Get more details inside…

Meg is reportedly one of three actresses who are currently “in the mix” to screen test for Supergirl, who will have her own standalone film, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, in the upcoming new DCU from co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran.

The upcoming “big science-fiction epic film” will bring to life Tom King‘s comic run of “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow,” which is just one of the upcoming live-action films in the first phase of DCU projects.

“Now, Superman is a guy who was sent to Earth and raised by loving parents,” James Gunn previously shared of the film. “Whereas Supergirl, in this story, she is a character who was raised on a chunk of Krypton. She watched everybody around her perish in some terrible way, so she’s a much more jaded character.”

Supergirl will first make her DCU debut in another non-Supergirl project before her own standalone film later on.
